Privacy Policy

2549368 Ontario Inc., doing business as WickerPark ("WickerPark," "we," "our," or "us"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit wickerpark.ca (the "Site"), shop with us online or in our Mississauga showroom, or communicate with us; how we use and share it; and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

1. Accountability

WickerPark is responsible for personal information under its control. We have designated a Privacy Officer who is accountable for our compliance with this Policy and applicable privacy law. 2. What We Collect

Information you give us. When you place an order, request a quote, book a showroom visit, apply for a trade account, contact us or subscribe to our emails or texts, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address, payment details, order history, fabric and product selections, and the content of your messages to us. Reviews and photos you submit are also collected.

Information collected automatically. When you browse the Site we automatically receive your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site and similar analytics data, through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 8).

Information from third parties. If you pay with Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay or apply for financing with Affirm, we receive confirmation of payment or approval from that provider, but not your full card number or credit file.

We collect only the information we need for the purposes identified below.

3. Why We Use It

  • To process and fulfil your orders, arrange delivery or pickup, and provide customer service, warranty and returns support
  • To communicate with you about your order, quote, custom fabric selection or showroom appointment
  • To send you marketing emails and texts, where you have consented (see Section 5)
  • To operate, secure and improve the Site, including analytics, fraud prevention and troubleshooting
  • To administer the trade program and financing referrals
  • To comply with legal obligations, including tax and accounting requirements

If we want to use your information for a new purpose, we will tell you and, where required, ask for your consent.

4. Consent

When you provide personal information to complete a transaction, arrange a delivery, request a quote or make a return, you consent to our collecting and using it for that purpose. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, such as marketing, we will ask for your express consent or give you a clear opportunity to say no.

You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, by contacting our Privacy Officer. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide certain services, such as delivery updates.

5. Marketing Communications (CASL)

We send commercial electronic messages, including marketing emails and SMS, only where we have your express consent, or where CASL permits implied consent (for example, for two years following a purchase). Every marketing message identifies WickerPark, includes our contact information, and provides a way to unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the link in any email, replying STOP to any text, or contacting us; we will honour your request within 10 business days. Consent to marketing is never a condition of purchase. Transactional messages about an order you have placed are not marketing and will continue as needed to complete your order. Our SMS program is also governed by our Messaging Terms & Conditions.

6. How We Share It

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only as needed with:

  • Service providers who help us run our business, such as Shopify (our e-commerce platform and payment processing), delivery and freight carriers, email and SMS platforms, review and analytics tools, and our accountants. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Payment and financing providers, including Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Affirm, who process your payment or financing application under their own privacy policies.
  • Manufacturers, such as Nardi or Sunbrella, where needed to process a warranty claim on your behalf.
  • Legal and safety recipients where required by law, court order or lawful request, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or to investigate suspected fraud.
  • A successor if WickerPark or substantially all of its assets are acquired or merged, in which case your information may be transferred so we can continue to serve you.

7. Where Your Information Is Stored

Our Site is hosted by Shopify Inc. and your data is stored on Shopify's secure servers. Some of our service providers, including Shopify and payment processors, are located or have facilities in the United States or other countries. While your information is outside Canada it is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, and may be accessible to its courts, law enforcement and national security authorities. We use contractual and other safeguards to require comparable protection.

8. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart, remember your preferences, understand how the Site is used and measure the effectiveness of our advertising. These include essential Shopify cookies (such as session and cart cookies), analytics cookies (Google Analytics) and, where enabled, advertising cookies from Meta and Google. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect checkout. Shopify's own use of cookies is described in its cookie policy.

9. Payment Security

Payments are processed by Shopify Payments and other PCI-DSS compliant gateways. Card details are encrypted in transit using SSL/TLS and are not stored by WickerPark. Transaction data is retained only as long as needed to complete your purchase and meet our legal obligations.

10. Safeguards

We protect personal information with physical, organizational and technological safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including access controls, encryption and staff training. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we follow industry standards and review our practices regularly.

11. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected, including order records for warranty, tax and accounting purposes (generally seven years), and then securely delete or anonymize it.

12. Accuracy, Access & Correction

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to know how it has been used and to whom it has been disclosed, and to have it corrected if inaccurate. Send requests to our Privacy Officer; we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first, and in limited circumstances we may not be able to provide all information (for example, where it would reveal another person's information).

13. Children

Our Site is intended for adults. By using it you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your province or territory, or that you have your parent or guardian's consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

14. Third-Party Links

Links on our Site may take you to other sites, including Sunbrella, Nardi and Affirm. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version and its effective date are always posted here. If we make material changes, we will post a notice on the Site.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Complaints about unsolicited commercial messages may also be made to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC).
